Seller's Introduction

Our team at duPont REGISTRY Live proudly presents this 2017 Ford GT, finished in Riviera Blue over a Dark Energy Alcantara interior and showing just 3,968 miles from new. Configured with an exceptionally distinctive specification, reportedly the only 2017 example finished in this color, and carrying Serial Number 40 in homage to the legendary Ford GT40. Adding further distinction, this GT is believed to be the only example optioned without the rear NVH panel, allowing for more exposed carbon fiber along with more sound into the cockpit. With its extraordinary performance, striking design, and deep-rooted racing heritage, the Ford GT stands as a compelling addition to any exotic collection and a standout among modern supercars.

Overview

The second-generation Ford GT represents one of the most significant chapters in Ford's modern performance history, combining advanced carbon-fiber construction, active aerodynamics and a twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 in a road car conceived with a clear connection to Ford's racing heritage. Developed alongside Ford's return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the GT was introduced as a technological showcase as much as a tribute to the company's endurance-racing legacy. Production was intentionally limited, making each example a relatively scarce piece of Ford performance history.

This particular GT's specification places a distinctive emphasis on lightweight materials and driver-focused equipment. The exterior pairs Riviera Blue, a $30,000 Extended Color Palette option, along with Gloss Carbon Fiber trim and 20-inch Gloss Carbon Fiber wheels, an additional $30,000 in Carbon Fiber options, while silver brake calipers provide contrast against the car's dramatic carbon-fiber bodywork. Signature Ford GT design elements include butterfly doors, a retractable active rear wing and rear diffuser, while front-end paint protection film helps preserve the finish. Following a low speed accident at a stop light earlier this year, paint and body work repairs have been made to the rear end of this car.

Inside, the Dark Energy Alcantara interior features manually reclining Sparco carbon-fiber bucket seats, an adjustable pedal box and steering column, and an Alcantara-wrapped multifunction steering wheel. A touchscreen infotainment system provides modern functionality within an otherwise purpose-built cockpit. This Ford GT is believed to be the only road car released from the factory without the NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) panel affixed to the rear bulkhead, exposing the carbon-fiber finish.

The car's mid-mounted 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 is paired with a Getrag 7DCL750 seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle, sending power to the rear wheels. Brembo carbon ceramic brakes provide braking performance, while a front-axle lift system and adjustable ride heights add usability to a car engineered primarily around performance. Five selectable drive modes—Normal, Wet, Sport, Track and V-Max—allow the character of the GT to be tailored to the conditions and driver's intentions.

With just 3,968 miles, this Ford GT has seen limited use from new. The combination of its Riviera Blue finish, Serial Number 40 GT40 homage, rare rear-NVH-panel configuration and Gloss Carbon Fiber wheel option gives this example a specification that stands apart even among a limited-production field.

This car is accompanied by a clean CarFax, two keys, Window Sticker, Original Bill of Sale, GT Owners Experience book, Production Photos, Paint Samples, Sealed Owners Manuals and Tire Inflator, Charger, and Car Cover. For the collector seeking a second-generation Ford GT with exceptionally low mileage and a highly distinctive factory configuration, this Riviera Blue example presents an opportunity to acquire one of Ford's most technologically significant modern halo cars in a particularly memorable specification.

Inspectors Notes: This is an absolutely stunning example of one of America's most iconic modern supercars. I'm shocked more people didn't order this color in 2017, or across the rest of production. The absence of the NVH panel adds more to the driving experience by bringing more noise into the cabin and showing more of the carbon tub.
